We just wanted to say how sad we are to hear of the fire at the Glasgow School of Art. It has always been a place of great inspiration to us.

We have our own great memories of the place and know there are many of you who studied, taught, partied or visited there.

With the excitement of the new building opening and the degree show looming next week this should have been a time of celebration. The news that large parts of the building, library and archives have been destroyed is just heartbreaking.

Our thoughts are especially with those current students who have spent the past few months and years finalising their works for todays hand in date.

It is just awful news but thankfully noone has been hurt by the fire.

We hope the GSA community will stay strong and rise from the ashes.
